My guess is Istria 57th street is profitable, even with a rent increase. I just don't think it fit with what the owner's wanted. I hope an employee did buy out Istria, because that little coffee shop has made a great difference on 57th street.

I hope this is true, because 57th Street badly needs a coffee shop.

Well, as of now. I Belinda, have came across a blessing, an investor trusted the community, me and a great staff to continue to serve the best customer's we could have ever came across. We, as a staff felt our home is here, and we would like to continue on, with a new beginning of CAFE" 57. It's a NEW YEAR for a great beginning. So, with that being said, I will see you soon, in the same place, making the best coffee, and providing you with the best service.... thanks so much friends and family, for the support and belief. It couldn't have got done without us, as a whole. ''THANKS ''

First day was today, apparently. Go buy a celebratory coffee!
